A student mentioned to me this weekend that this new term is becoming more popular in Taiwan and around the world. The term is LOHAS. It stands for Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability. It seems to be a continuation of the sustainable, green, and non-conventional, and ecological lifestyle cultures. These cultures have been growing in popularity where I come from and in Taiwan. LOHAS is a group of companies whose goal is to further these agendas. Here is a statement from the website:
